CHARLOTTE, NC — March 13, 2024 — The city of Charlotte is set to witness a groundbreaking
collaboration between world-renowned artist Gary James McQueen and Rick Lazes, founder of
the Art Factory, as they join forces to create an immersive exhibit titled Provocateur™ that will
resurrect the legacy of the iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen. The interactive
experience will explore the profound influences that shaped Alexander McQueen’s
groundbreaking fashion designs throughout his illustrious career.

Gary James McQueen, nephew of the late Alexander McQueen, brings his unique artistic vision
to Charlotte for a unique collaboration that will captivate audiences as Provocateur™ embarks
on an international tour to pay homage to the indelible mark left by his uncle on the world of
fashion. Drawing inspiration from the avant-garde designs and innovative spirit that defined
Alexander McQueen’s work, the exhibit will transport visitors into the intimate and visionary
world of one of fashion’s most celebrated designers.

This extraordinary project is being produced in association with the esteemed Blumenthal
Performing Arts center and the North Carolina School of the Arts, highlighting the convergence
of art and education in this immersive endeavor. The collaboration is expected to push artistic
boundaries and provide a profound experience that transcends the worlds of art and
Fashion.

The exhibit is scheduled to debut in September 2024 before embarking on an international tour.
